Gas blast in petrol pump injures 17 in E. Afghanistan

MAHMUD-E-RAQI, Afghanistan, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) — At least 17 people were injured as a gas cylinder exploded in a petrol pump in eastern Afghanistan’s Kapisa province on Monday, provincial police spokesman Abdul Fatah Faiz said.
The gruesome accident, according to the official, took place in Tagab district at 08:20 a.m. local time, injuring 17 people, some in critical condition.
Without providing more details, the official said that an investigation had been initiated into the incident. ■
